22 year old Christopher Jones went through one of the most harrowing experiences one can go through while skydiving by having a seizure mid-free fall.
The whole incident was caught on the helmet camera of skydiving instructor Sheldon McFarlane, who managed to catch Jones on a second pass and deploy the young man’s chute. The video has already surpassed a staggering 16 million views as of the writing of this article.
McFarlane told sources that Jones did have two AAD’s (automatic detection devices) which would have automatically deployed Jones’ chute had the instructor not been able to catch Jones mid-air.
Thankfully, Jones managed to regain consciousness and land without incident. He had been cleared by his doctor to jump and had been seizure-free for the past four years.
