Sarah Palin’s Hypothesis: Bill Nye Isn’t A Scientist

Former Alaskan Governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin has a serious feud going on with Science, or as she would say “science” Guy, Bill Nye. At a Capitol Hill event used to premiere an anti-climate change film, Palin mocked Nye, even saying, “He’s a kids’ show actor; he’s not a scientist.”

Sure, Nye has helped NASA develop equipment used to explore Mars, been on the board for the Planetary Society, was a professor at Cornell, holds several patents, holds numerous degrees honorary and otherwise, but he has yet to prove his credentials to the Fox News Commentator.

The film she was there to promote is called Climate Hustle, and it dismisses global warming as an excuse for government takeover, even claiming that carbon emissions could be beneficial. Obviously, Nye, as one of the more outspoken environmental advocates, is a target of the film. Palin claims he and 97% of the scientific community are “alarmist” in their warnings against human impact on climate.

Clearly this calls for a Science Off between the two. We look forward to seeing their entries!
