  • At a rally in Pennsylvania today, Donald Trump spoke. With that lede, I don’t really need to say what about. You know it’s going to be something crazy. This time, Trump said that he considers himself a “blue collar worker.” A billionaire who started with millions of dollars in loans and inheritance from his father. Blue collar worker. Now, I’m not going to outright demonize a Presidential candidate here — I’ll leave that to Alex Jones — but that’s pretty out there.

Naturally, Twitter reacted, well, harshly to this comment. Pictures of Trump started circulating. Pictures of him in his entirely gold-plated penthouse apartment in New York. Blue collar worker. Tweets focused on his apartment appeared, like these:

  • Yes, I’ll admit that’s my Twitter. Too good of a joke to pass up. Naturally, a lot of other people also weighed in, including George Takei:

  • Just take a moment to look at the cars at his son’s feet. It’s two limos and a old fashioned race car. Not hot wheels – like full on mini models of limos. When your child is playing with those, you aren’t blue anything. Blue collar worker.

Naturally, celebrities and politicians weren’t the only ones to weigh in.

I’m going to leave you with one more picture.
