So it’s not exactly a secret that our recently decided Vice President-Elect Mike Pence has some controversial ideas about women’s reproductive health. Pence openly disapproves of Planned Parenthood, and has suggested overturning Roe vs. Wade to prevent women from receiving abortions.
As an act of rebellion and generosity, many people including celebrities, have given large donations to Planned Parenthood in Gov. Mike Pence’s name. It’s called an honorary donation, and Mike Pence will be receiving all of the “Thank You” letters from every single donation. Brilliant.

So that’s a phenomenon for sure. Planned Parenthood has received over 50,000 donations in Mike Pence’s “honor”, and they’re still coming in. According to an interview with the Daily Mail, Planned Parenthood is thrilled with the donations.
“Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said: “We’ve seen an unprecedented outpouring of support, with more than 200,000 people donating in the week following the election — a quarter of whom pledged to be monthly supporters, recognizing the long-term work that is needed … Tens of thousands more are pledging to make sure access to health care is protected.”
