  • Look, you’re never too old to wear a shoe that’s known for being uncomfortable to walk in and being a tool of the patriarchy, right!? Right!? Well, I mean — I think it’s right, but if you’re Philadelphia company Pee Wee Pumps you may go “No, I believe a high heel on a baby is an extremely normal thing. Potentially too normal?! I mean, maybe! Maybe it is too normal!” No one will agree with you, but I can see how you would feel that way.

Why create a high heel for a being who can barely walk? A being whose need for shoes extends to “do they keep my tiny feet warm enough so I can learn to walk on the no doubt freezing and chilling floor”. Anywho, these are creepy! And Pee Wee Pumps was rightfully called out for its extreme creepiness! When you go to the website now, you can see a collection of highly discounted baby high heels, so who knows. Maybe some of the pressure is getting to them. Baby high heels. A phenomenon seemingly no one likes.

The comments on the video have been filled with outrage, and they are not stopped by the fact that the shoe’s heel is soft, something the Pee Wee Pumps website makes much of that ignores that like — sure, we’re happy you’re not making babies walk in actual high heels, but that’s only half of the thing blowing our minds, here!

As for the argument of sexualization, Pee Wee Pumps founder, Michele Holbrook says:”You put too much thought into it and yes it’s going to become an issue, but truly in the grand scheme of things, when it all boils down to it, it’s just a photo prop.”

    Sure. But it’s still insane!
