The death was a part of a love triangle between Fatima Khan, Khalid Safi and Raza Khan, the latter of which was the one to murder Safi in December 2016 with a knife. Safi attempted to defend himself with a screwdriver. Fatima, according to a lawyer, organized the slaughter, as the lawyer told the courtroom according to The Independent: “She told Raza Khan where to find Khalid Safi and she ensured Mr. Safi was still there by the time Mr. Khan travelled to the scene.”

Raza Khan, the man who conspired to, and ultimately murdered, Khalid Safi.

Fatima Khan has expressed remorse for the incident, and told the court she regrets the photo and blames post traumatic stress disorder from a past relationship in part for her poor decision making. When asked “In your mind’s eye, who was lying on the floor, was it Khalid?, Fatima responded, “I was not thinking. When I get flashbacks I don’t know what I’m doing”. Regarding Raza Khan, the murderer, she told jurors: “I hate him. He is so disgusting because he done something so bad. Khalid did not deserve to be dead. He disgusts me. I feel sick just thinking about it.”

Fatima is set to be sentence on July 30th.
