Calling all Barbies, Nicki Minaj has released details on her upcoming album ‘Queen’.
Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj revealed that her upcoming album will be titled ‘Queen’. Although the album was originally meant to be released on June 15th, she has now announced that the album cover will be released on June 11th, with pre-ordering starting in June too, but, unfortunately, the album will not drop until August 10th.
After dropping two hits, ‘Chun-Li’ and ‘Barbie Tingz’ early last month, fans have commented on the announcement, saying that the timing is an ‘interesting choice’ :

Although, Nicki Minaj’s fan base have always been supportive, and it appears the longer wait for the album that they have all been waiting for, is not a disappointment.

However, some have speculated that the choice to drop the album much later than anticipated is due to the fact that Kanye West and Drake have announced that they’re dropping their albums in June as well.

Although, Nicki Minaj could never be upstaged by them.
This will be the artist’s fourth studio album and has hinted that the album will be about Princess Diana, tweeting the hashtag, #QueenDiana — hence the title of the album.

Minaj has also announced that she is starting her own tuition charity, called ‘Students of the Game’, which will aim to help students pay off their tuition, which really shows the kind heart of Nicki and that her intentions to help change people’s lives is something that is very close to her heart.
