    Normal press interviews are boring.

After having been through a number of them, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, stars of the upcoming political comedy film, The Campaign, had to get real with The Daily Show host Jon Stewart about his interview techniques. It wasn’t long before things got ugly and catty.

Luckily, they had Jon Hamm on hand to make a surprise appearance and back up their argument (and to continue the ongoing improv routine they had going on).

Having eventually learned his lesson, Stewart proceeded to offer a formal apology to his audience:

I just wanted to tell you people that, I figured, because this is basic cable, that I could bring on two-to-three stars and basically, just film a circle jerk. And I apologize to you and the people at home, and not just for the interview I did here, but all the interviews, and the show in general.

This stunt came only a few days after Galifianakis took the reigns on another late night show, switching sides of the interview desk with Jimmy Fallon.
