One Direction shared their first Instagram post since 2016 ahead of the 10-year anniversary of the official formation of the band on “The X factor UK.”

1D’s post on Instagram read, “10 Years of One Direction.” In the caption, the band wrote, “Tomorrow! You and me got a whole lot of history.”

Each band member also shared sweet messages on their social media accounts thanking their fans for their continued support.

Harry Styles reflected on where the band has taken him in a post shared to his official Instagram account. ” I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dreamt of when I was growing up. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most incredible people, and gained friendships that I know I will treasure for the rest of my life.”

He continued by thanking the crew, team and the FANS that made One Direction possible, “To all the fans, I love you, and I thank you with all my heart. You did it all, and you changed everything. And finally.. to the boys, I love you so much, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we achieved together. Here’s to ten”

Not going to lie, I too shed a few tears while reading the messages the boys we all grew up with posted to each other.

Niall Horan said that he never anticipated One Direction “would go on to do what we did” during their time together. “When I met these four gents there was no way I thought we would go on to do what we did. So many unbelievable memories we shared together,” the 26-year-old Irish star expressed via Instagram.

Louis Tomilson shared the bands first photo together and said the memories were “ incredible” during the bands run. “Can’t believe its been 10 years already. I look back incredibly proud. Thanks for everything lads and love to you the fans as always x,” Tomilson shared to his Instagram.

Liam Payne re-shared his mates posts on his Instagram story and posted a snapshot of a texted he sent to his dad in 2010 that read “I’m in a boy band.” In the caption he thanked everyone involved with the success of the band and reminisced on the bands journey, “I had no idea what we were in for when I sent this text to my Dad ten years ago at this exact time the band was formed.”

Sadly, Zayn Malik has not shared anything publicly about the band’s anniversary.

All of these messages sent the 1D fandom into madness. Many re-sparking rumors of a possible reunion. Many influencers also shared their throwback photos of their strongest 1D face. It’s fun to see how even those with millions of followers were “Directioners” at some point in their lives.
