Meghan Markle has been a part of the British Royal family for a few months now and it seems like she is settling into her new life very well. However, many people have accused Markle of ditching her American culture, as she has very quickly started to develop a British accent. Although these accusations came about a few weeks after the Royal Wedding, with Markle appearing at events with a slightly more British tone to her voice, the fuel has been added to the fire once again, after a preview for a new BBC documentary has been released.
The documentary titled, ‘Queen of the World’, doesn’t air for a couple more weeks, but ITV shared a preview to the television show on their Twitter, which shows a clip of Meghan talking about her wedding dress…

As you can hear, Meghan’s accent has changed ever so slightly. Personally, I feel like it has become a bit posher, but definitely not British. Being from the UK myself, I know what an authentic British accent sounds like, and this isn’t it. However, the people of the Twitter community feel very differently about this, and feel as though Meghan has completely lost touch with her American roots, and has become accustomed to ‘Madonna Accent Syndrome’…

We understand that she may have had voice coaching, considering her job mostly revolves around speaking at events on the behalf of the Royal Family, but we’re not convinced that she’s desperate to let go of her culture by changing her accent…
However, others think that Markle is faking this accent, as she hasn’t been living in the UK for very long, so it would be impossible for her to develop a different accent this quickly…

I don’t know about you, but we feel like this situation has been taken way out of hand, and Markle is just trying to pronounce her words properly like a true Royal would.
Whether you think she’s faking her accent or not, you have to admit that Meghan Markle has always been a very elegant person and she fits in perfectly with the Royal family no matter what.
