We’re only 6 days into the 2018 World Cup, and with companies like Budweiser being one of the many sponsors for this year’s worldwide football event, it has only proven that beer is one of the most popular drinks amongst football fans, and the increased demand has meant that restaurants and bars across the host country, Russia, are beginning to run out of the liquid gold and people are either very angry or finding this absolutely hilarious!

Although Russia appeared prepared for this event, which is going on for six whole weeks, they didn’t seem to consider how much beer football fans consume, which is a lot, and it has come as quite a shock to many restaurant and bar owners in the capital, Moscow.

If they need a little heads up as to how much beer people are drinking, Twitter user @darrenrovell shared a photo of the eight beers he purchased that probably went down within a few minutes. Go hard or go home, right?

Some people have even mentioned switching to vodka, which I don’t know about you, but after one drink of vodka I’m either grinding against the bar or passed out on the toilet. But, then again, this is Russia we’re talking about and they are the home of vodka, so I think they’ll be able to handle it better than I can…

But, I don’t really think giving vodka to a bunch rowdy football fans would be the best idea. I mean, have you seen how crazy they get? Perhaps give them a glass of water, and I’m sure they won’t be able to tell the difference!

If parents don’t know the difference, I’m 100% sure they won’t either.

We really do feel for those in Russia who are going through this very tough time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the football fanatics, and we hope they will be able to survive this tragedy.
