Tyra Banks’s Predictions Of The Future Is Bizarre
We all have our own predictions of what the future will be like. Most of them are probably quite radical. Needless to say, these predictions will inevitably fall into the two following categories: predictions that will and are able to come into fruition and the predictions that are highly unlikely to ever come into fruition.
“As I look into the future, I see radical changes in both how people ‘attain beauty,’ and how the world perceives beauty. In general, I believe, traditional beauty will be less valuable—and more uniqueness will be heralded,” Banks’s op-ed piece for the The Wall Street Journal begins.
Unfortunately for Banks, most of her predictions fall into the latter. As for her other predictions? They’ve already happened.
As Forbe’s Naomi Shavin put it, “It seems those 21 cycles of America’s Next Top Model (Banks’ modeling reality show that aired in 2003 and continues to run) possibly distracted her from keeping up with the latest technological innovations.”
There’s robots, there’s choosing your future children’s traits off a menu and there’s “beauty ingestibles,” said to give you contoured cheeks, if you so desire.
