TV On The Radio have been dropping new songs over the last half year or so — some studio recordings, some in the live setting — so it’s not a huge surprise that they’ve got a new album on the way. Not a surprise, but still great, great news. As the band announced in a short YouTube trailer today, the new album will be called Seeds and it’ll be out via Harvest Records this fall.

“We’ve been through a lot of stuff in the past few years that could have stopped the band cold,” vocalist Tunde Adebimpe said in a statement. “But I’m glad we got it together and took stock of the unique connection we have between each other because the record is, 1,000 percent, without a doubt, the best thing we’ve ever done.” The group released a short teaser video, streaming below, which contains serene, husky synths and not much more.

Last year, the group reported that it was working on a new album, which it ultimately decided to record at guitarist and producer David Andrew Sitek’s Federal Prism studio in Los Angeles. “I like coming in and saying, ‘Let’s make a couple songs,’ not feeling any sort of pressure to lock ourselves in a room,” Adebimpe told Spin last April. “I don’t think anyone has the space [in their lives] to do that ever again.”
