New “AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON” Trailer is Terrifying
Wisely sensing that nothing sells toys quite like the creepiness of James Spader, Marvel has released the second huge-scale trailer for the forthcoming superhero team-up “Avengers: The Age of Ultron.” Before the film lands in theaters May 1st, we get an early look at the fully-formed Ultron, some more action from new characters Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and a lot of shots of our favorite heroes being stomped, pummeled and generally outnumbered by armored automatons.
Way back in October, Marvel unleashed the very first trailer for the new “Avengers,” introducing the Pinocchio “I’ve Got No Strings” motif that’s continued here.
Though “Age of Ultron” brings together all the major heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Ant Man” in July will mark the final film of the studio’s so-called Phase II of comic-to-movie adaptations. Phase III kicks off next year with the release of “Captain America: Civil War” and “Doctor Strange.”
