“Technology has advanced more in the last thirty years than in the previous two thousand.” So said Nobel prize-winning physicist Niels Bohr…well over 50 years ago. Now think about how much has changed in just the last 20 years.
That’s the point BMW is making in their Super Bowl commercial, advertising the i3, a zero emission electric car manufactured in a wind-powered factory. It’s the kind of car we assumed everyone would already have when the alarm bells first started sounding about global climate change four decades ago.
In the commercial, Bryant Gumbel and Katie Couric discuss the i3, mirroring their now-infamous conversation about “What is Internet?” from 1994.
