“This may very well be our last mission,” Jeremy Renner’s character says in the new trailer for “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation.” Which, um, have you seen the previous films? It’s always the last mission. It’s always impossible. We could go all “I don’t think that word means what you think it means.” But we won’t. Because it’s a Mission: Impossible movie, so of course it’s going to be dope.

The gang is back together for this, the fifth installment in the M:I series. (Doesn’t it kind of feel like Ving Rhames only does M:I movies anymore? Question for another time.) Tom Cruise is still crazy fit. Simon Pegg is still nebbish and adorable. We didn’t see anything that quite tops the Burj Khalifa scene from “Ghost Protocol,” but we’re optimistic.
“Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation” comes out July 31st.
