In the midst of endless Star Wars hype, it can be easy to briefly forget that prior to The Force Awakens, JJ Abrams directed the reboots of another famed “Star” series, Star Trek. But now the trailer for the third film in that reboot series has arrived, and it looks pretty awesome.
The latest film, Star Trek Beyond, stars the same cast as the previous two, but has been taken over by a new director, Justin Lin. Lin is best known for directing four of The Fast and the Furious films, and it will be interesting to see what he brings to this franchise as well.
But enough of that. Check out the trailer! Get excited! Or mourn the fact that all of our movies these days are reboots and franchises, up to you.
