Christmas is right around the corner and a lot of us are feeling that special combination of festive and wistful as we head into the weekend, so it’s a nice day to enjoy this sweet, soulful version of Elvis’ “Blue Christmas” from former “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester and singer-songwriter Dana Williams.
The simple duet with two guitars, backed up by a guy on tambourine and drum box has a country/blues twang and the women’s voices complement each other well.
