  • Finding Dory, the latest Disney Pixar film, was released in June of this year. As part of the worst year ever, it’s only fitting we get an average Pixar movie. Well, average according to Screen Junkies, who released their Honest Trailer for Finding Dory today.

I wouldn’t exactly call Finding Dory an average film, especially in a summer lacking in quality. But for Disney Pixar, it was a miss, because so many of their films are better than Finding Dory. It’s hard not to say this year’s animation is dominated by Zootopia and Kubo and the Two Strings. That’s without the other Disney movie this year, Moana, being released yet.

Screen Junkies focus on the unimportance of Finding Dory. Disney is a company that promised no sequels for sequels’ sake, and yet they have released a story without… well, meaning. We, as an audience, didn’t really care about who came up with the “Just keep swimming” thing during Finding Nemo. We would honestly have been fine if Finding Dory was never released.
