Season 4 of Orange is the New Black has DEFINITELY had one of the best finales in the show’s history. Last we saw the inmates, a riot was erupting and Daya had a gun.
The new trailer – released on Tuesday – opens in Litchfield with inmates right where we left them. Daya (Dascha Polanco) is still threatening to shoot corrections officer Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey) as inmates surround the scene, encouraging her.
“Shoot him in his head!”
“Come on! What the f-ck are you waiting for?”
In the midst of this upheaval, Piper and Alex are (ironically) making a pact to “lay low,” and “stay out of trouble.” As they approach the rest of inmates, however, Piper wonders if all the ruckus is a “step forward or backward for equality.” Before she can join the riot to, Alex is sure to pull her away.
So, does Daya pull the trigger? Yes, but not before the screen cuts away and all we hear is a gunshot.
