TOP 5 REAL LIFE SPIDER-MEN!
Spider-Man: Homecoming is rolling into theaters this week, and people could not be more excited to see this glorious figure, thwip, swing, and fight in theaters. But you don’t need to stay in the theater or the world of fiction to be Spider-Man! No! While Peter Parker and Miles Morales might be fake, people have been inspired to try to be Spider-Man in real life! Heck, when doing research for this, I’ve found people have discovered ways to be almost every part of Spider-Man in their own way! Here are the top five real life Spider-Men!
SPIDER-MAN: THE CLIMBER
Check out this guy! The internet is filled with people with unbelievable climbing skills who — like Spider-man — seem to not need any kind of rope or harness or anything. This makes sense — Spider-Man himself was inspired by “The Human Fly”, an old stunt-show where a man would climb a building before a stunned audience Was Spider-Man— always real!? Hmmm!
SPIDER-MAN: THE HERO
Mark Zillio, a professional costumed busker on Times Square who ended up catching a cosplayer in Times Square. This is delightful! Spider-Man doing the one thing real life Spider-Man should — catching criminals! Sort of! Zillio seems downright embarrassed by his act of heroism, but be ashamed not! Remember, Spider-Man himself tried to be a professional wrestler before he turned to— heroism! Dun dun!
SPIDER-MAN: THE SCIENTIST
Responding to a missive from Stephen Colbert, scientists at Stanford started to figure out how exactly Spider-Man could climb, and the results are pretty impressive. Sorry fiction! Here comes science! Weee!
SPIDER-MAN: THE MENACE
As J. Jonah Jameson adores to declare — “That Spider-Man is a menace”, and this real life Spider-Man proves that that may be the case — because this real life Spider-Man is a big white web like thing that flew from the sky and tripped up this runner! That Spider-Man is a menace I tell ya, a menace!
SPIDER-MAN: THE PARKOUR HERO
Spider-Man climbs but also he can— jump!? Check out this amazing parkour artist from the YouTube account Ronnie Street Stunts doing all his incredible leaps — but in a Spider-Man outfit! Now I’m into it! Go, Peter Parkour, go! Jump like Spider-Man! Boy, if only he could combine with all the other Spider-Men too…
