SNL ADDS NEW CAST MEMBERS: Luke Null, Chris Redd, Heidi Gardner
And so rolls in another year, and with it rolls in another wave of fresh faces for SNL to show the world! The names are — on the actors side — Luke Null, Chris Redd and Heidi Gardner. Luke Null is a veteran perform of iO Chicago. Here he is performing a song about Reuben Studdard on American Idol back in March.
Chris Redd is a Second City alum and cowrote a show called The Art of Falling — an improv/sketch/dance show. Chris Redd appeared in Love, Popstar: Never Stop Popping, Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later and Disjointed with a Comedy Central half hour coming out soon. Here he is being amazing in Andy Samberg’s Popstar: Never Stop Popping.
Heidi Gardner comes from the Groundlings’ Man Company, and here she is being a huge jerk in this fun sketch “Women Can Be Dicks Too” and another one where she’s a Maxim model. She will be in the upcoming Melissa McCarthy movie Live of the Party and performs on the Crackle animated show Supermansion.
On the writer side of things — comedians Sam Jay, Gary Richardson, Erik Marino, Andrew Dismukes, Steven Castillo, Claire Friedman and Nimesh Patel round out the new crew. What do you think of the new cast members? Will they be able to hold their own against the remaining veterans? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
