  • Rattpack — is Bobby Tarantino 2 on the way?

With the release of Logic‘s latest single (and music video), “Overnight,” fans can’t help but think another mixtape is on the way — because it’d be too soon for Ultra 85, right?

  • Logic’s latest release comes just days after “44 More” — the follow-up to “44 Bars” from his 2016 mixtape, “Bobby Tarantino.”

    Gave ’em 44, now here’s 44 more.

  • The music video for “Overnight — found above — follows Logic on his trip(s) to Maui and Tokyo with cameos from Jessica Andrea, Justin Fleischer, Jordan “BO” Harris, Damian Lamar Hudson, 6ix, and more.

We took a trip to Maui & Tokyo to record music. While there Logic said, ‘Yo let’s shoot a music video… f*ck it.’

Before we begin to make claims that Logic is “back,” let’s make one thing clear — he never left. Following the success of “1-800-273-8255,” it is no question many were quick to write-off the rapper due to the amount of attention he was getting from mainstream media. But, let’s be real here — it was bound to happen, and it’s something (I think) Logic’s cult-fanbase was not prepared for.

  • Despite the criticism surrounding “Everybody,” and “1-800-273-8255” — because there was criticism — there is no denying Logic made a huge (and incredibly important) impact on the music industry in discussing mental health. As of February 13, 2018, “1-800-273-8255,” has been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Though longtime fans of Logic have shown a great response to “Overnight,” and “44 More,” this begs but another question — will his newly-gained, “mainstream” fans be equally as receptive? I’d like to think so, but then again — I will always back anything Logic puts out.

What do you think of Logic’s latest releases? Are they off an upcoming mixtape, or is this beginning to the end of a saga (Ultra 85)? Let us know in the comments.
