Wreck-It Ralph 2, subtitled “Wreck-it Ralph: Break the Internet,” just released its first trailer after oh so much build up. The trailer seems to illustrate a world where Wreck-It Ralph — surfs the net? I guess! The movie — directed by Rich Moore — director of Zootopia, the original Wreck-It Ralph, and a ton of Simpsons and Futurama episodes — seems intent on bringing that dark sensibility he honed on those last two projects to this upcoming movie.

Witness the unholy terror of Ralph getting barraged by pop-ups that he finds strangely charming, absorb the glory of Ralph (first name Wreck-It) gazing at a velvet cat painting on eBay with awe in his eyes, and then watch in delight as Ralph feeds a rabbit so many pancakes he explodes and dies causing a child to scream — which was definitely my favorite part of the trailer. Good luck beating that, rest of movie!
