If you were a fan of the classic Sonic the Hedgehog video games, then I have excellent news — SEGA is returning to that well with a series of cartoons styled after the classic Sonic the Hedgehog series. If you’re a kid of the 90’s or just a well-intentioned gen-z kid who got into this after the release of the excellent “Sonic Mania,” this short has a lot for you to love. We see all the familiar sound effects and designs of the classic Sonic series. We got Eggman, we got the Flickies, we got the familiar container that holds the Flickies. Look, I know this is nonsense to some of you, but I love the old-fashioned Sonic so this is meaningful to me. Let me make my references!
You think we’ll see Knuckles? Tails? Badniks? The Badnik shaped like a ladybug? Look, there are plenty of choices for the kinds of Badniks you can and can’t choose. And plenty of choices for ways to end this article. But I choose one way — rating the cartoon. I give it… five hedgehogs. Goodbye!
