The Looks From the 2018 Met Gala Are Unreal

The MetGala is always a cause du celebré here at What’s Trending Mansion, and why wouldn’t it be? We like staring, ogling and generally just rubbing our eyes in disbelief at the fashions of the day, and this latest Met Gala, the event fueled by the vision of Anna Wintour, is incredible. The theme this year is Catholicism, and the stars have brought it, and then some. Many dressed as Papal visions from the Vatican and beyond. Some went for a subtler look, giving us the sight of the cross as a design. The host, however, was absolutely stolen by star Lena Waithe.

Openly lesbian star Lena Waithe attended the Met Gala draped in an LGBTQ pride flag. The vision is itself arresting, but it doubles as a rebukement to the church’s famous, historical, and long-acting homophobia and assault on the rights of LGBTQ people. Way to go Lena Waithe. You win this one.
