Original Avengers Stars Get Matching Avengers Tattoos
I don’t know what it’s like to be one of the foundational pillars of a legendary film franchise such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but you can tell there’s at least an air of fraternity to the entire thing. For almost a decade these actors have worked together almost nonstop, done press tours together almost nonstop, and today five of the original six Avengers — Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) immortalized this all by getting matching tattoos, no doubt to remember their experience together.
Each part of the tattoo represents an aspect of one of the actors’ characters, with the whole forming the now ubiquitous Avengers A. Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/The Hulk was missing from the event, although we are sure The Hulk might just feel weird about needles and such. It sounds like Ruffalo refused, with Chris Evans joking: “We need to get Ruffalo blackout drunk.”
What do you think of the Avengers all getting Earth’s mightiest tattoos? Does this inking hint that after Infinity War Part 2 they will be… no more? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
