Ariana Grande Writes Ode To Pete Davidson On New Album

Ariana Grande released her new album “Sweetner” late last night, and the fans can’t shut up about it. That’s right, Carpool Karaoke’s own (the only thing I know her from, jay kay) Ariana Grande released her album and the results are beautiful. But it’s one song fans can’t shut up about, and it’s the same part of Ariana Grande fans still can’t shut up about — Pete Davidson. SNL’s bad boy. The guy who Big Dick Energy is named after. The guy who broke during that great lobster sketch on SNL. Well, Pete Davidson, that tattooed so and so, received a song on the new album — a minute and change of audio gift given. Check it out.

The lyrics are heartwarming, reading–

I thought you into my life, woah
Look at my mind, yeah
No better place or a time
Look how they align
Universe must have my back
Fell from the sky into my lap
And I know you know that you’re my soulmate and all that
I’m like ooh, ooh
My whole life got me ready for you, ooh, ooh
Got me happy, happy
I’ma be happy, happy, yeah
I’ma be happy, happy
Won’t get no crying from me, yeah
Gonna be happy, happy
I’ma be happy, happy

Awww! Ariana Grande! These lyrics are beautiful! You really do love SNL’s resident young person Pete Davidson! Actually, according to a Jimmy Fallon appearance, Ariana Grande has loved Pete for years — ever since the met in the writer’s room at Saturday Night Live!

As quoted by Mashable, Grande told Fallon:

“I left his writer’s room when we were writing skits and stuff for the show, and my tour manager Roshad [Ishmael] was in the hallway — and I’m not a crushy person, I don’t have like, crushes on people I don’t know, I’m not crushy — but I left and I jokingly said to my tour manager, I was like, I’m marrying him, 100 percent. I was like, I’m literally marrying him.”

And if you would believe Davidson’s interview with GQ, the feeling was mutual:

“The day I met her, I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow,’ ” he says, grinning. “She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, ‘Do you like any of these?’ She was like, ‘Those are my favorite ones,’ and I was like, ‘Sick.’ “

Ah, true weird, weird, true love.
