De Niro at Tony’s: “F*ck Trump”
Robert De Niro took the stage to introduce Bruce Springsteen and delighted the crowd by saying: "f*ck Trump".
Two little words that perfectly describe the sentiment of nearly every person alive on the planet today.
Robert De Niro received a standing ovation for bolding saying them at the #TonyAwards in front of a worldwide audience.

Robert De Niro took the stage to introduce Bruce Springsteen at the Tony Awards and delighted the crowd by saying, “f*ck Trump”. Or, if you made it this far into the entry, he said f*ck, folks. The man said f*ck.
Robert De Niro and Donald Trump are two men united by three big things. They are both New Yorkers, they are both baby boomers, and they have both dedicated their lives associated with wanting to be a tough guy. In De Niro’s case, it means acting as multi-layered tough guys in dozens of movies, which almost tear apart this concept of masculinity as a flawed and tragic thing to try to achieve. De Niro shook the movie screen with his portrayals, meanwhile, Donald Trump’s concept of pretending to be a tough guy is thoroughly unconvincing. He wears a big suit, eats hamburgers, and bullies minorities. His version of a tough guy is a bully, which is actually kind of a weak guy. Still, there’s no need for me to go over the well-trod ground. Robert De Niro put it so perfectly and succinctly at the Tony’s when he was introduced Bruce Springsteen with a rallying cry of “f*ck Trump”.
The speech in full said:
“I’m gonna say one thing. F*ck Trump. It’s no longer ‘down with Trump’, it’s ‘f*ck Trump’!”
The two word call out made the news, not just for its political value, but for all the darned cussing that was going down! It was censored during the live cast, but a few viewers got footage of that sweet cussing action. It was exciting and relieving to be sure, just to remember… hey, you’re not alone. This guy sucks. De Niro got a standing ovation for these two words, that as often as they can be said, we cannot say them enough based on ICE statistics. One of the worst inhuman presidents we’ve had.
Of course, this isn’t De Niro’s first time tangling or alienating Trump. The actor behind such hits as “The Godfather Part II”, “Taxi Driver”, “Meet the Parents”, and “Dirty Grandpa”, my favorite bad movie of all time, banned Trump from the line of Nobu Japanese restaurants that he co-owns, and it seems like the actor wants to make Donald Trump an enemy of his.
What do you think of De Niro’s speech to Donald Trump? Do you think it’s all the president is going to talk about, or nah because he’s about to meet with Kim Jong Un? Let us know in the comments, and make sure to follow us on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
