We have another Karen alert! This one involves her yelling at a woman for wearing a bikini…at a lake! A well known Tik Tokker was confronted the other day because of her bathing suit, and she recorded the incident.

Aurea Miranda has 20,000 followers on Tik Tok. Her content is mainly centered around feminism and woman empowerment. Her most popular Tik Tok has over 450,000 likes. It is of her walking around Manhattan and filming men’s reactions and comments. She posted saying, “We demand respect!”

She had another Tik Tok blow up a few days ago with the same message. While Aurea was filming a Tik Tok, a woman came up to her and said that her boys were staring at Aurea’s ass and asked her to cover up. Aurea asked if it was against the rules for her to be wearing her bathing suit, and the “Karen” said that it was “nudity”, so it was against the law.

A lot of the comments on the Tik Tok are about how this woman shouldn’t be blaming Aurea for her bathing suit but should be teaching her kids not to stare. One comment said, “people can wear whatever they want. Maybe people should teach their boys how to control themselves instead of attacking the females”

The same day, Aurea posted a picture of her in the bathing suit on Instagram, talking about female beauty standards. She said, “So what if you don’t have a body that other people deem to be perfect? Do not ever allow anybody to make you feel as if you’re not enough. You are enough!”

Some people used the comment section on this post to talk about the woman’s response to her bikini. Someone said, “Girl she was right, put some bottoms on”. But most of the comments are positive like, “it’s a swimsuit and she’s at a lake, y’all want her to wear pants?” and “You’re beautiful, confident, and inspiration for self-love. Hope you don’t let bored people with nothing better to do get you down.”

This is similar to the backlash Perez Hilton got for telling Tik Toker Charli D’amelio that she wasn’t dressing her age. How about we don’t shame women for wearing what they want and start teaching boys to not sexualize them?
