After the tragic deaths of Lil Peep and XXXTentacion, fans of the rappers were devastated. Not only by the passing of their favourite musicians, but also because they would never get to hear their talent again. However, a teaser trailer for their new song was posted on Lil Peep’s and XXXTentacion’s Twitter earlier this week…

Fans were shocked, but so happy that they got to hear their favourite rappers’ voices in a song that they have never heard before. It’s acoustic, but with an upbeat rhythm in the background. Although, fans were wondering how this song had been made, as the two had never met before and especially now since their passing, how was the song even recorded? Well, producer and song writer, iLoveMakonnen, posted on Instagram about this song, which he co-wrote with Lil Peep, and explained the whole situation, mentioning how excited he was for the world to hear this beautiful masterpiece.

Not only does iLoveMakonnen have an emotional attachment to this song, but so do many fans, who have posted on social media about how much this song has warmed their heart and soul…

iLoveMakonnen’s Instagram post featured XXXTentacion talking about Lil Peep during a listening of the song in the studio after Peep’s death, in which he said, “Peep and I always believed that music heals and brings people together in a way nothing else can.” Especially after hearing this clip again, Makonnen knew that he had to release this track and let the two rapping legends live on vicariously through their music.
