Robert Downey Jr. Confirms Sherlock 3 Filming This Year
Move over Iron Man, it’s time for Sherlock to shine again!
Robert Downey Jr. spent a better part of his time on the Captain America: Civil War press tour talking about the prospect of the third Sherlock film. RDJ claimed the latest iteration of the famous sleuth will be hitting the big screen sooner than we all thought!
Downey told Shortlist magazine,
“We’ll attempt to make one this year. When we’re making those Sherlock movies it is off the hook. It really is a big deal to go and do those movies. I’m tired all the time, but I’m excited about it.”
There’s been a lot of back and forth on whether or not RDJ’s Sherlock would even make a return after Benedict Cumberbatch’s modern portrayal blew RDJ’s performance out of the water. On top of that, director Guy Ritchie is still finishing up Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur.
According to Empire, Iron Man 3 writer, Drew Pearce, has been working on the script, and as soon as schedules can unite, we’ll see one of our favorite pairings back on the screen again.
