Garth Brooks Announces Thursday Press Conference
In December, Garth Brooks announced his plans for a world tour on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and has left his fans hanging ever since.
An announcement about the beloved country performer’s upcoming tour was supposed to be revealed this morning, but his fans will have to hang tight for just a few more days. His website displayed a cryptic message saying, “The wait is over… 7/7.”
To many fans disappointment, the message was removed and in its place was an announcement of a news conference scheduled for Thursday July 10th, where he will presumably announce the long-awaited tour dates. Fans can watch a live stream of the conference on the website at 11 am, according to his website.
The singer retired from touring in 2001 to spend more time with his family.
“It sure feels good to get to throw your hat back in the ring,” Brooks told Good Morning America. “All my babies are fine with it. Ms. Yearwood is fine with it. So now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music. I get to be with the person I want to be with, which is Ms. Yearwood.”
