Look. I can be all down on nostalgia, I can be all down on unnecessary reboots, but the moment they come to my neck of the woods!?!? Buddy, I love it. I don’t know what to tell you. I can’t wait. Case in point, sure it was only a minute and change, but seeing Jeff Bridges on screen in his familiar sweater, with that familiar laid back grin, making the role that, despite any Academy Awards past present and future, will forever define him, Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski, from the Coen Brothers’ eternal classic, The Big Lebowski.

The video, captioned with “Can’t be living in the past, man. Stay tuned.”, shows Jeff Bridges as The Dude entering a dilapidated bar that’s been apparently torn apart by ruffians of sorts, before gazing into the audiences eyes with a lazy smile, and then we cut to a tumbleweed rolling through the landscape with the date 2/3/19. Or, as you plebes, as you filth encrusted normals, repulsive in your very walk and gait may know it as… The Super Bowl.

Yeah, that’s right folks, The Dude has a price, and we will find out what the price is when The Dude sells the hell out during Super Bowl LIII, with the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams serving simply as a backdrop to whatever product The Dude is probably going to be hawking. Raid Roach and Ant Spray? Pepsi? Some company that makes milk specifically for White Russians? Please, just tell me what place found a price that was enough for Jeff Bridges’ big follow up as the character to be hawking wares for freaks.

Unless… there is no price. Unless Jeff Bridges just donned the sunglasses and wandered about the street of Hollywood before a camera took pity of him. Maybe he’s selling nothing. Maybe he spent his life savings to buy a Super Bowl ad so we can see him as The Dude one last time…

But most likely this is a thing that sucks. So, what do you think of Jeff Bridges returning as The Dude? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
