Well, Here’s A New Ghostbusters (2020) Teaser

So what’s going on, are we jus going to be getting a new Ghostbusters movie every election year? What, was the misogynistic man baby reaction from the same kind of dudes who are outraged that a shaving ad is telling them not to grope, to the excellent 2016 Kristen Wiig starring version not enough to make you go “the world is too grimy to watch people fight ghosts”? No, you actually had to give in and give these Neanderthals what they wanted? Ugh. Well, throw the kibble to the freaks I guess. Yesterday it was announced that Jason Reitman, director of Juno, and son of original 1980’s Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, will be directing a sequel to the original Ghostbusters films from the 1980’s. Check out the teaser below, I guess. I mean, as I said, it seems outright garbage that after all the sexist chest beating people threw a tantrum, they were given a movie where a past his prime Dan Akroyd replaces an iconic Kate MacKinnon, but I digress. Here’s your slop you freaks.

The teaser doesn’t give us much to go off of. We don’t know know wether or not the original stars will be in the movie, and if they are, how they’re going to handle the passing away of the legendary Harold Ramis. Moreso, the movie won’t even touch the existence of the 2016 blockbuster. Said, Jason Reitman:

“I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan, when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans. This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the ‘80s happened in the ‘80s, and this is set in the present day.”

So congrats fan of the 1980’s! At long last something else is for you!!!

But seriously, the 2016 Ghostbusters was perfect. Go rewatch it if you don’t believe me. The same culture that hated it ended up supporting Trump, so if you’re cool with that, congrats on your third movie, folks. Can’t wait to see Bill Murray slowly tease if he’s going to bother showing up on set for this one.

Seriously, pour that money into a new sci fi comedy franchise. Ugh.
