Celebrities Respond to Nude Photo Hack

  • If you’ve been online at all this weekend, you’ve probably heard about a bunch of female celebrities having their private photos leaked online.

    If we’ve learned anything this weekend, it’s definitely that..

  • Well, nobody except that 4chan hacker that managed to find all the photos to leak in the first place. Of course, this is the Internet in 2014 and everyone posts their reactions online… including those targeted.

    Kirsten Dunst tweeted for the first time in three months to serve some emoji realness.

    Victoria Justice quickly denied the integrity of the photos. She’s not the only former Nickelodeon star to respond to the alleged photos either.

    Queen of the charts, Ariana Grande assured her followers that she has something much more worth flaunting than the supposed photos of herself. She also killed another rumor in the same tweet, concerning her upcoming tour.

    Of course not all those targeted responded so nonchalantly and called out all of those searching for, and looking at the photos, as the hack was a blatant breach of privacy.

    Mary Elizabeth Winstead spoke out about the photos, and of course being a celebrity voicing her opinion, she received lots of backlash and heinous comments on Twitter. Winstead ultimately decided to take a break of social media.

  • Most of the internet, celebrities targeted, and their peers are hoping to find the hacker and bring them to justice. Many online communities have already started to trace the leak back to its source to try and identify the hacker. Jennifer Lawrence’s team has also begun an investigation into the hack, and Apple has begun investigating iCloud vulnerability reports.
