Freeman sat down with the Daily Beast‘s Marlow Stern to discuss his new film 5 Flights Up. But the most interesting part of the interview was Freeman’s full-throated support of legalizing marijuana. The actor, who was in a serious car crash seven years ago, says he uses marijuana medicinally for pain relief and believes the government should “legalize it across the board.”
Though Freeman admits he has been a long-time user. He said, “My first wife got me into it many years ago. How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it! This movement is really a long time coming, and it’s getting legs—longer legs.”
It’s the closets thing to word of God that we’re going to get.
