  • The Grammys aired live last night on CBS, and it’s no surprise that Taylor Swift was once again awarded for creating yet another groundbreaking album. “1989” won best album of the year, making this Swift’s second win at The Grammys for this title.

As usual, Swift seemed overwhelmed and shocked as she took the stand to accept her award. It seemed like only in her “wildest dreams” could she win album of the year twice. Swift starts off her speech thanking her fans. Then, she takes a turn to stand up against Kanye West’s lyrics in “Famous,” where he takes credit for her fame.

“As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.”

She finishes with, “If you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”

Her number one fan, best friend and Grammys date Selena Gomez almost teared up during her acceptance speech. Swift later shared an adorable video on Instagram of Gomez screaming with joy when they heard the news about “Bad Blood” winning Music Video of the Year.

  • On the other hand, Kanye West doesn’t want any “bad blood.” Shortly after Swift’s speech, he took to Twitter to spread the peace and love while also denying that he’s ever “dissed Taylor.” I’m sorry, Kanye, but did you forget about the 2009 VMAs?

Kanye always preaches to ignore the haters, and even though he denies it, his actions have certainly made it seem like he was one of Taylor’s.
