  • More importantly, she continued to take a stand for transgender rights with her daring black tee-shirt-and-underwear outfit, sporting a gender-neutral bathroom symbol.

    Billboard reports:

Lovato took a stand against North Carolina’s anti-LGBT “bathroom law” by wearing a t-shirt featuring an inclusive bathroom symbol. A replica of the t-shirt will be sold during Lovato’s tour, with the proceeds going to LGBT organizations in North Carolina.

Lovato, along with her tour partner Nick Jonas, recently made headlines by canceling a scheduled concert in North Carolina over the state’s new law forcing trans people to use public bathrooms matching the gender on their birth certificate, rather than the gender they identify with. She was one of a list of celebrities, including Bruce Springsteen and Maroon 5, who are boycotting the state over the discriminatory law.

Demi’s shirt was a welcome message of support for all her trans and LGBT ally fans out there.
