  • The media and fans don’t necessarily always have the most respect when it covers female stars. The coverage of Britney Spears or Anna Nicole Smith or countless others are proof of this, and when it spills over outside of the computer, it becomes even worse. Ariana Grande spoke out about this following an incident where a young male fan told her boyfriend Mac Miller: “Ariana is sexy as hell, man. I see you, I see you hitting that.” which is a bad way to refer to a human being in any walk of life. Not good.

Ariana Grande took to Twitter, posting the story and her thoughts about it, saying “Things like that happen all the time and are the kinds of moments that contribute to women’s sense of fear and inadequacy.”, ending with “We are not objects or prizes. We are QUEENS.” Indeed. Some fans felt differently however, and Ariana Grande continued the conversation on her Twitter feed.
