The Flippist Recreates Home Alone Pranks in Flipbook Form

Would be lying if I didn't say I didn't miss the ubiquity of the flip book. It's the pocket parlor trick where you get to reach into your pocket, let someone witness the art of animation before their very eyes, and then return it to your pocket. Your pocket and unfortunately the era of kaleidoscopes and rubber band balls. You know, childhood or the the 90's (if you're a millennial it's hard to understand which trends belong to which group sometimes. Do kids still raise Virtual Pets or did that not turn out to be a forever thing?). However, the Flippist is a YouTuber dedicated to keep that tactile joy of feeling those pages flipping in between your fingers alive with his handmade, beautiful flip-books. Now, what better way to keep in the spirit of the season* than by celebrating the true greatest Christmas movie of all time (sorry Die Hard/folks who can't wait to tell you Die Hard takes place on Christmas), Home Alone. In this case, the flipbook takes the form of a supercut of every time the Wet Bandits got clobbered up but good**.
