Maroon 5 Might Play Spongebob’s “Sweet Victory” At the Super Bowl

Even though the pop stars made of flesh and blood may grab the headlines, anyone in the know knows that gen-z and millennial's true patron saint is a little doodle of a pants wearing sponge, known to the greater intellectual world as "Spongebob Squarepants". After the tragic death of Spongebob creator, Stephen Hillenburg, from ALS, earlier this year, fans have rallied together to try to honor the man vis a vis a Super Bowl performance. A Change.org petition received 1.1 million signatures, trying to urge for the song "Sweet Victory" -- the song that Spongebob and company played during a massive football game on land during the now classic episode band geeks -- and Maroon 5 may have hinted that they may just play the song... with a short clip of Spongebob Squarepants during the video advertising their appearance...
