Sony Drops R. Kelly In Light Of… You Know

The R. Kelly documentary, Surviving R. Kelly, has dropped a lot of troubling questions. Amongst those were how did R. Kelly get away with this for so long? What are out next steps in terms of getting justice for his victims? And, most strangely of all, why is he still signed on to Sony!? He doesn't even release new music, really. Not in a way that justifies keeping a man accused of countless of acts of rape and pedophilia on contract. Well, earlier today Sony very quietly parted ways with Kelly in a manner that won't be given much publicity from Sony, but is getting a lot of mainstream press, removing R. Kelly from the RCA Records website, according to Variety, on a list which shows which artists the label is representing.

R. Kelly’s Daughter Speaks Out Against R. Kelly, Sides With Victims

One of the most striking stories from "Surviving R. Kelly", the documentary that puts R. Kelly's crimes into a damning light by giving them all to us without the spin of the media, or the manipulation the R+B singer usually enters into the mix. While normally R. Kelly's crimes somehow continue to slide on, be forgotten, or go unpunished, this time around people's perception around the accused child rapist as an accused child rapist seem to stick. The documentary showed a lot of sickening footage, and a lot of sickening stories, and one of the more memorable ones was R. Kelly's then wife, Andrea Kelly, being swept away in the night while pregnant, almost experiencing a miscarriage, and seeing footage of R. Kelly being arrested for filming child pornography as she held her newborn baby in the hospital. R. Kelly's monstrosities extended to his family, and his estranged daughter, Buku Abi, has went on Instagram to speak out against her father.

After years of ignoring the constant sex crimes and rampant abuse of R+B singer R. Kelly (we wrote about his sex cult last year, you can read it here), the release of dream hampton's documentary "Surviving R. Kelly" has brought it all to the forefront. Now Georgia has opened up a case against the abusive rapist who destroyed the lives of so many teen girls he's kept in his home, torn from their families, and the mea culpas from artists who've worked with him are coming forward quickly, and a big one that has recently emerged has been one with Lady Gaga.

Yesterday saw the premiere of "Surviving R. Kelly", a damning documentary showing R. Kelly's endless acts of statutory rape, and his history of dating and raping girls as young as twelve years old. The documentary discussed his abusive control of the women, Aliyah forging her documents to make herself seem 18 when she was 16 to marry R. Kelly, and his constant production of sex tapes starring 14 year old girls. You know, child pornography. Four more parts of the documentary are forthcoming, but one thing making headlines is the amount of celebrities who refused to appear in the documentary due to the "messiness of the situation", whatever the hell that means in the context of saying you don't like a child rapist.
