There is a range of diverse fashion trends around the globe, with many of them being shared on social media on a regular basis. The likes of Instagram is the ideal platform for fashionistas to show off the latest trends and keep their thousands of followers in the know.

Fashion is subjective, of course. What is an appealing design to you, might seem horrendous to someone else. Regardless, the amount of different styles out there is amazing. Fashion has never really been in such a healthy place, and there really is a suitable look out there for everyone, you’ve just got to find it, buy it, and then flaunt it. That is exactly what so many of our favourite social media stars do, and exactly why so many people are desperate to keep on top of the latest trends.

So, to help keep you in the loop alongside the shedload of fashion influencers you undoubtedly follow, here are some of the fashion trends expected to dominate social media in the year ahead.

The disco collar

Judging by this latest fashion trend that is picking up real momentum on catwalks and Instagram pages in 2020, disco is almost certainly not dead. You can rock up to a fancy casino in Vegas or sit at home on an online casino in Canada, and the disco collar will fit suitably in. Smart or casual gear is getting the disco collar treatment, from coats to jackets to pyjamas. I mean, who wants a collar you can’t really see?

Crochet

It’s not just your grandma who enjoys a bit of crochet. In fact, crochet is apparently going to look cool this summer. As the fashion industry looks at ways of becoming sustainable and looking after our planet, this handmade trade is expected to take off again in 2020. If your timeline is swamped with crochet images later in the year, then don’t be too surprised.

Hot pants

Hot pants caught the eye again on the spring runways. Huge names such as Rag & Bone and Ferragamohave well and truly brought hot pants back with some vibrant designs this year, although these very tight, brief women’s shorts can’t be enjoyed when the winter weather sets in once again. Rest assured, though, if you have any hot pants locked away in the cupboards, dust them off and get wearing them out and about again.

Anyone for highlighter-inspired neons?

From fluoro pink to orange to yellow, vibrant shades are here to shine a light on this occasionally dull and depressing world of ours. Highlighter-inspired neons have been rocking fashion shows in recent times, with these eye-catching colours helping the likes of Tom Ford and Christopher John Rogersturn on the style.

If hot pants aren’t really your thing, then Bermuda shorts could well be. Making a classic suit that bit better, Bermuda shorts are ideal for spring and suitable for many occasions. You can also wear tortoise shell glasses with this outfit for a more professional look. Designers have been giving them a new lease of life too, with the likes of Bottega Veneta and Givenchy showing off some of their designs of late.

Bra tops

Crop tops are no longer the flavor of the month. In fact, they’ve been on a downward spiral for a while now. Thankfully, though, the bra top is here to save the day. Thanks to Dior with its crochet iterations, bra tops can come in a variety of different textures and styles. They’re not only perfect for the summer, but ideal for the street style look too.

Other trends to keep an eye on include fashionable and stylistic women glasses like tortoise shell glasses womens, baggy shorts, sporty drawstrings and jumpsuits.
