The Little Women Trailer is Officially Out, And It Looks Stunning

The day that #FilmTwitter has been waiting for has finally come! A little over 24 hours ago, one of the most highly anticipated films of the season finally released its trailer. And no, it wasn’t Star Wars, it was Greta Gerwig’s follow up to the beloved Lady Bird, Little Women.

If Greta Gerwig’s name isn’t enough to get you excited, look at this cast…
Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen, Lorence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, Bob Odenkirk, Chris Cooper, Louis Garrel, Tracey Letts, and last but certainly not least, THE Meryl Streep.

I have this slated to be a SERIOUS Oscar contender this year. Expect for Ronan to be up there for Actress in a Leading Role, along with my personal Actor of the Year, Florence Pugh, for Supporting Actress.

Keep in mind that this isn’t the first remake of the film. It’s not even the second. Nor the third. This is the FOURTH remake of Louisa May Alcott’s story! Sound familiar? I’m thinking of A Star Is Born. However, with it’s New Year’s Day release, it has a better shot of getting awards recognition, unlike A Star Is Born (I bring this into the discussion because we’ve now seen four versions of that), who opened about a month or two, too early in my opinion.

Have you seen the trailer? What do you think? Do you see this as being a serious awards contender?
