A Tik Tok went viral of a high schooler taking a video at an airport, with a scary caption. The caption was, “little do all these people know that I have COVID-19”. Charlise Connelly, the girl who posted this video, is seen in an airport, without a mask, sitting next to many people.
Her original video has almost 500,000 views and is also getting a lot of attention because so many people are sharing and reposting. All of the comments are negative, including the sarcastic comment, “wow, risking other people’s lives is so cool” and “this makes me so upset. She’s the reason my mom literally can’t go outside, because of inconsiderate people like her.”
The creator responded to a lot of these comments saying that she doesn’t have coronavirus and it was just a joke, but this is nothing to joke about.
Another comment says, “Why would you travel knowing that you have it? That blows my mind” and she responded saying that she didn’t have it. She didn’t stop with the replies to comments. She has made multiple videos since talking about the video and everyone’s responses, but she is becoming defensive. She hasn’t apologized or said that what she did was wrong.
She posted another video saying, “I don’t have COVID. Thanks for checking up on me guys. If I did how can I get thru the airport? Got ya there.” A comment on this video says, “They don’t test you for COVID before you walk through the airport” and her response was, “well I don’t have it. So does it matter? No.”
It didn’t stop there. She made another Tik Tok trying to explain herself. The confusing part is that she told people that it was “just for a Tik Tok” but then also says that it’s something not to joke about. The Tik Tok says, “you guys are making it a big deal. I get it people are dying and it’s so sad and not funny. I don’t know why you guys keep saying I think it’s funny. It’s a Tik Tok so calm down, I’m not sick.”

After the video, she reposted a Tik Tok saying that people shouldn’t have to wear masks, and also saying that “the flu is worse than COVID”.
