Nation Reacts To Horrifying Real Life Lickitung in New “Detective Pikachu” Trailer

But I digress. Let us move on to the next freakish design that is in our rolodex, as the newest Poke'mon: Detective Pikachu teaser gave us a new disgusting animal to gawk at: Lickitung. For those not in the now, Lickitung is a disgusting freak who is known for his extremely long tongue that paralyzes people when he uses it on his foes. He's a repulsive animal - half blob fish, half the embodiment of bad boundaries. Also, he's a normal type, so he's not even good in battle, so screw that. But double screw to the new terrifying design of Lickitung in the CGI nightmare that I will pay money to see on opening night, Detective Pikachu. Look at this thing! My goodness!

VIDEO: Frozen 2 Teaser Will Bring Back Classic Disney Vibes

Oh my God, that teaser trailer was a masterpiece. Did you know Frozen 2 is coming back? And what's more, the teaser, released only a few weeks after the terrifying Chicago polar vortex, is an absolutely epic beautiful sight to behold? Well guess what, you huge Disney dork, it absolutely is! The shots in the trailer, the special effects, hell, the fights with the unknown by two exciting fairy tale warriors bring to mind the 90's Golden Age of Disney Animation where the action was tightly paced, animated with a beauty that could rival the kind of majesty that came in an ornate painting, and that certainly is on display here, from the opening shots of Elsa trying to master her freezing powers against a powerful ocean to-- hell, check out this shot below! I mean, what is that!? That is absolutely beautiful! One woman versus the powers of nature!

Everyone Horrified By New Will Smith Genie

Folks. Look. The Aladdin trailer for the live action remake looks bad. It looks really, really bad. The costumes seem somehow overwrought, the Jafar the game is presenting is much, much too hunky and, compared to the scenery chewing villain in the original animated movie, kind of seems like he's going to be dull as dirt. Yet, we knew the worst was yet to come, and here it is. Folks, they revealed the new blue genie in the remake, as played by Will Smith. And folks. Absolutely no one is warming up to this abhorrent freak of all nature. Check out some of the reactions below.

VIDEO: New Pet Sematary Trailer Will Freak You Out, Folks

Look, how you react to this trailer will have to do with your general stomach for witnessing the death of children and scary kids in animal masks. I mean, Hereditary screwed me up so bad I had nightmares, so I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to feel after I watch Pet Sematary -- and this latest trailer just sort of hits home that feeling of... geez, they're not going to have to carry me out of the theater as I blubber in fear, are they? Maybe! Watch the trailer above, and keep an eye out for the big change to the original Stephen King story that has horror fans mumbling to each other, "Why, they changed the original story, they did! Blimey and cocklebush! Zowie!" Anyway, watch the thing above.

VIDEO: Here’s The Teaser For Tommy Wiseau’s New Movie, “Big Shark”

Look. I don't know when underground movies turned into a celebration of weird ass sensibilities, to gently chuckling at weird ass sensibilities, but the weird ass sensibilities are here, and no underground movie has dominated the last fifteen years more than Tommy Wiseau's "The Room". "The Room" had it all, trash dialogue, the director's trash instincts on display, and best of all, the audience got to laugh and feel smarter than somebody, as was all the rage back then. Well, now Tommy Wiseau is back. We'll see if an iota of self awareness has changed him, or we'll find out wether or not audiences actually want a follow up to a movie they loved because it was bad. In any case, I'm just going to say "Oh hi Mark", as is customary when writing about Tommy Wiseau and go into the explanation of "Big Shark", which Wiseau introduced during a screening of "The Room" during a Q&A at the Charles Theater in London.

X-Men OFFICIALLY Headed To Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, Wolverine to Be Recast

I guess this is how you hide a massive merger with insane layoffs, you go "Hey! What if Cyclops met Rocket Raccoon! You kids would love that, right!?" And indeed, you would, because the X-Men are headed to the Cinematic Marvel Universe, under the vision of current MCU super producer Kevin Feige. Kevin Feige, as many know, got his Marvel producer start with the original X-Men franchise at the turn of the millennium before transitioning to the Disney owned MCU. Now, due to a deal with Fox that is no doubt a result of the merger, and similar to the one with Sony that brought Spider-Man to the cinematic universe, where Sony shares the rights and gets to do some of its own thing, the X-Men will indeed be transitioning to the MCU, with a new Wolverine in tow.

VIDEO: Toy Story 4 Trailer Drops After Super Bowl, Features Bo Peep, Key, Peele

Sure, it was a historically low rated and dull Super Bowl, and sure, most of the ads seemed like dumb fluff from advertisers who grow more and more bored with the world around them in a risk averse culture, or robots being tortured, or depression done ironically or both. But one thing all Americans can agree is good wholesome fun: the new Toy Story 4 ad, folks! It was thirty seconds long but gave us a lot of good clues about where this new franchise will go, from Bo Peep's new kickass return, to Key and Peele's return as a stuffed duck and rabbit on the carnival grounds.

The First Trailer For “Fast and the Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw” Is Extremely Insane

It's shocking to think that Hobbes and Shaw, the Fast and the Furious spin-off starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham, is more than just an impetus for Vin Diesel to continue to be mad at The Rock for petty as hell reasons. No, it's also a movie, and the movie, judging from the trailer is INSANE. In a franchise known mainly for neon car chases through crazed alleys, we now get Idris Elba as a dangerous mutant who looks dressed like an 80's Marvel character? Richard E. Grant Tweets His 47 Year Old Letter to Barbara Streisand and She RESPONDS

Maybe that's what helps make actor Richard E. And now, forty seven years later, after Richard E. Grant posted the letter on Twitter, Barbara Streisand has at last responded!

Either way, Rom and The Favourite, two movies which are absolutely perfect if you don't mind me saying so, are leading the pack with ten nominations each -- both have Best Picture, and Roma has Best Foreign Film to boot.

VIDEO: As The Seasons Turn, So Too Is John Wick Back in “John Wick 3” Trailer

John Wick has become shorthand for a certain type of movie. A certain artfully designed bout of madness in cinematic form that is one part Crank, and one part a soulful alt country song that men of a certain age listen to in order to cry a little bit. You know, as any movie where a man goes on a cinematically perfect violent rampage to rescue his sweet little dog is bound to be, and the franchise is pure. It's one of the few new IP's that audiences are excited about, and certainly one of the few IP's that a more adult audience sees entirely as their own. So, without further ado, with your popcorn in hand and your laptop screen in front of you, we here at What's Trending we present... the John Wick 3 trailer. Enjoy.

What, was the misogynistic man baby reaction from the same kind of dudes who are outraged that a shaving ad is telling them not to grope, to the excellent 2016 Kristen Wiig starring version not enough to make you go "the world is too grimy to watch people fight ghosts"? No, you actually had to give in and give these Neanderthals what they wanted? Ugh. Well, throw the kibble to the freaks I guess. Yesterday it was announced that Jason Reitman, director of Juno, and son of original 1980's Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, will be directing a sequel to the original Ghostbusters films from the 1980's. Check out the teaser below, I guess. I mean, as I said, it seems outright garbage that after all the sexist chest beating people threw a tantrum, they were given a movie where a past his prime Dan Akroyd replaces an iconic Kate MacKinnon, but I digress. Here's your slop you freaks.

VIDEO: Spider-Man Far From Home Trailer Shows Off Europe, Mysterio, Nick Fury

Look, if you've ever been someone with even an inkling of love for Spider-Man, I'm sure that this past year has brought it to a fever pitch. Spider-Man has starred in a PS4 game, a bomb as hell animated movie (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, in theaters now, folks), and now, after watching him turn to ash in Avengers: Infinity War (I guess he gets better?), we can see him in the latest trailer for his upcoming Marvel produced movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home. If you've even considered the concept of liking Spider-Man, this trailer will make every single synapse in your brain fire insanely. At long last the strange, beautiful universe of Bendis' Spider-Man comics, mixed with a splash of Ditko and a vast embrace from Romita-- with its spies, insanity and pained villains, is seen in full force as Spider-Man heads to Europe in the new trailer.

Hostless Oscars “Reunites” The Avengers Before They Leave Two Months Later

Here's how prevalent nostalgia has come: we're celebrating things returning before we even see them go away! Case in point -- the Academy Awards have announced they will be reuniting the massive cast of Marvel's Avengers franchise a mere two months before we're going to see them do whatever it is they're going to do with Thanos before they slide away to make room for Ms. Marvel, Carol Danvers and The Eternals or whatnot.

Outrage After Accused Offender Bryan Singer’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” Wins Best Drama At Golden Globes

Who knows what the Golden Globes were thinking. In my opinion Black Panther, If Beale Street Could Talk, Blackkklansman and A Star is Born were all much better movies than the tepid "Bohemian Rhapsody". But even quality of cinema aside, it feels questionable that one year after a very memorable, a very honest ceremony celebrating "Time's Up" in the wake of the #MeToo movement, the award for one of the Best Movies went to a man who has been accused multiple times of raping underage teens.

GOLDEN GLOBES: Idris Elba Posts “Awkward” Selfie with 007 Daniel Craig

At this point, Idris Elba may as well be an honorary James Bond. Elba has been floated as the new actor to fill the suit for so long that the fact that he actually hasn't filled the suit feels like a deeply frustrating trivia fact that someone out there should correct, and fast. That's what makes the selfie that Idris Elba posted so satisfying and delightful. The actor posted a photo of Daniel Craig starring at him from across the room, with the supertitle "Awks". Heck yeah, Idris Elba talks like a stereotypical teen! Heck yeah! Check out the selfie below!

Barack Obama Loved Eighth Grade, Annihilation, In His Top 10 Movies List

Man, how can the president have more time to watch movies than I do? I mean, clearly he hasn't seen Sorry To Bother You, the weird leftist cult style movie that should be dominating every single top ten list, but he did see Annihilation, so that rules. Hell yes to the President of the United States watching weird ass science fiction alien bears. In any case, the president still does his job of elevating culture a little bit with a fantastic and comprehensive Top Ten list. Sure, Bo Burnham may have been shut out of a director's Golden Globe for his phenomenal movie "Eighth Grade", but he can hold his head above water knowing that when the president saw the dad in that movie nervously being unsure about how to talk to his daughter, but trying damn it, he probably said, and I quote "I...uh... relate!"

Netflix’s “To All The Boys I’ve Love Before” Sequel Announcement Is Perfect Christmas Wish

On Wednesday, Netflix released the announcement in a fitting form, by letter. The letter reads “To All The Fans I’ve Loved Before, I miss you. I know it’s only been a few months and I swear I wasn’t trying to avoid you, I just didn’t know how to answer your question without lying to you.” The statement continued, “The truth isn’t always simple or straightforward - and as we all know too well, dating contracts have a way of quickly getting complicated. But the letters are out… it’s true. A To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel is coming to Netflix.”

VIDEO: David K. Harbour as Hellboy is Here in New Trailer

Imagine having to do a reboot of a movie franchise that one of the greatest directors alive has already done so well. I mean, what could horror guy Neil Marshall do what Academy Award winner Guillermo Del Toro didn't? Those first two Hellboys are brilliant. Still, the trailer certainly promises something that won't be a disaster potentially, in a new adaptation of the beloved Mike Mignola comic book series. David K. Harbour replaces Ron Perlman, a robust Ian McShane replaces John Hurt as Hellboy's father figured turned employer Bruttenholm, and apparently Thomas Haden Church is in this as Lobster Johnson if IMDB is to be believed.
