The Biggest Loser DRUGGED Contestants?!?!
Reality show “The Biggest Loser,” has gotten into some hot water after contestants have claimed the show drugs participants and encourages them to lie about their weight.
Former contestant Joell Gwynn came forward saying trainer Bob Harper gave contestants Adderall and Yellow Jackets, and encouraged participants to vomit. She stated, “People chastise Bill Cosby for allegedly offering meds to women, but it’s acceptable to do to fat people to make them lose weight. I feel like we got raped, too.”
This claim was backed by season two contestant Suzanne Mendonca (who unfortunately has regained all of her weight). She added:
“People would take amphetamines, water pills, diuretics, and throw up in the bathroom. They would take their spin bikes into the steam room to work up a sweat. I vomited every single day. Bob Harper tells people to throw up: ‘Good,’ he says. ‘You’ll lose more calories.’”
Biggest Loser’s Dr. H has denied all of the accusations saying “Nothing could be further from the truth. Contestants are told at the start of the show that there is zero tolerance for any weight-loss drugs. Urine drug screens and the evaluation of serial weights are repeatedly used to flush out possible illicit use.”
It’s unclear which side is being honest here, but considering the seedy reputations reality shows have gained over the past few years, we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out the allegations are true.
