The Web Celebrates Veterans Day
November 11th was made a legal holiday in 1938 and then later renamed to Veteran’s Day in 1954, as a day to honor American veterans of all wars.
Online, the term “veteran” had over 50,000 mentions yesterday and that will only increase today as folks around the web send messages of support, respect and thanks to the brave souls for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. YouTube even has a whole channel dedicated to veterans.
Here are just a few of the thousands of tweets going around.
