If you watch only one “Star Wars” promotional interview, make it this one. Carrie Fisher and her French bulldog Gary went on Good Morning America to talk to Amy Robach about “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and it was probably the most entertaining interview we’re going to get out of this entire season.

Fisher is basically everybody’s favorite wacky aunt, quirky glasses and all, who says whatever she thinks – and she didn’t pull her punches on the subject of Princess Leia.

When Robach asked her if it took some convincing to get her to play the part again, Fisher replied, “No. I’m a female in Hollywood, over the age of … let’s say 40, and then we could also say 50… They don’t have to ask you if you want to work at that age. You’ll see some day.” When she found out that slim, blonde Robach was actually over the age of 40, she grumbled, “That’s upsetting.”

Later, things got a little awkward between the two ladies when they started talking about exercise and keeping fit.

“Yes, I did lose weight – and I think it’s a stupid conversation,” Fisher said. “Not with you!” she hurried to add when Robach laughed helplessly. “I mean, it’s good with you, but normally I wouldn’t talk about it with someone else. But you’re so thin, let’s talk about it. How do you keep that going on?”

Gary the bull dog also got plenty of screen time, right up until the moment he fell asleep. He is well known to Fisher’s Twitter followers, and to people who follow her daughter Billie Lourd on Instagram.

Our host Ava Gordy has more on the internet’s reaction – including all the people declaring how bangable Robach is, which basically misses the point of the whole interview.
